Marc, we had a wonderful time. The accommodations were very nice and the suggested itinerary was helpful. The golf courses and tee times were all set and I had no problems. We appreciated how the itinerary was set because you took into account traveling times and sightseeing excursions. We did not feel that the traveling was onerous at all. The longest trip was Ballybunion to Malahide and that was just over 3 hours. The weather was glorious. Thank you for that. I did not get out my rain gear a single time. Hard to spend 8 days in Ireland and not have a little precipitation. Overall, we had a great time and will recommend you to others in the future.

Thanks Marc. We had a wonderful time. You did a great job planning our trip. We will definitely be coming back to Ireland and I will contact you for that trip. The next time we will go north to play golf.

Thanks very much for your email, it was really great to finally meet you. My only regret was that we did not have a little bit more time to chat over coffee or a cold beer. Such is life when there is golf to be played! We all appreciate you taking the effort to come to the airport to say hello in the early morning, you are a first-class gentlemen!
We truly had a fabulous time in Ireland, all the accommodations and courses were excellent, I don’t think anyone had any issues whatsoever, all went perfectly. Personally, my best round was an 80 on the Dooks in mild weather conditions, so I was quite pleased with that. The other courses were quite challenging yet thoroughly enjoyable and fantastic tests. We only had heavy rain on two days, at K club and Lahinch. Playing in the wind like we did at all the courses was just a great experience for everyone. That’s the way links golf is, and should be!

We’re back in States and wanted to write a quick note thanking you for arranging a fantastic trip. It could not have been better and I did not know you also arranged great weather. We never had a drop of rain. Arthur was the perfect driver and it felt like I had my grandfather on the trip. We loved our accommodations in all places, very comfortable and friendly. It was a great 60th birthday trip for our family. Thanks for everything you did. I will pass your name around to anyone looking to taking a golf trip to Scotland or Ireland.

Hello Marc. Just a quick note that we thoroughly enjoyed the trip as well as all of the courses. We hit Waterville and Old Head on two of the rare sunny and calm days. Big compliments to Ger, who we really enjoyed and made the trip even better.

With your helpful suggestions and prompt responses to our questions from beginning to end, the accommodations, golf, travel, drivers, food, Guinness and Jameson were first rate. We were treated to the experiences of true links golf and the scores and fun reflected that. Watching the Open at Portrush in 2019 will provide a pleasant reminder. Hopefully, my health and golf continue in good shape to enable another trip over before too long. Our rounds of golf already played back home have been much easier!

Marc, we arrived home to Seattle last evening after 10 days of pure excellence in Ireland. We are so lucky to have found you and the trip could not have worked out better. We took your advice on Fishy Fishy in Kinsale, which led to one of the best meals we had in Ireland. The golf dates worked out well, with one exception in Tralee due to wind, but the clubhouse re-booked us to the following morning which led to both Tralee and Ballybunion back to back. It made for a challenging but memorable time for our group.
We will recommend you to anybody that will listen as you were excellent to work with and considering the challenges we had with our group, you set our mind at ease. Many thanks again!

We did have a fabulous trip. Reality set in quickly though after our 27 hour trip home, back to the work grind for us both. Thank you so much for all you did for us. We will definitely be planning another trip in a few years and will be in contact with you again. We will also give high recommendations to anyone we know regarding Dunbar Golf Tours. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the service and attention you gave us.

Our Northern Ireland golf experience was truly special. As one of the staff at a course mentioned, “you can experience all four seasons” in one day with Irish golf. The courses were just exceptional. Each was unique, challenging and highlighted the beauty and natural environment of Northern Ireland. Among the eight golfers in our group, Royal County Down and Ardglass were favorites. Portstewart was exceptional and the weather was great, except for the winds. Ballyliffin’s two courses were a great way to start and they were made more challenging with consistent rain and 30 plus mile an hour winds. How do they design courses so the winds are either at you or cross winds on every hole? Royal Portrush will be a great test as an Open venue and Castlerock was very enjoyable. You provided us with rich diversity and the Irish golf experiences we all hoped for!
This was our second trip with Ger as our guide and driver. He is exceptional in every aspect of his work. His knowledge, relaxed style and constant willingness to help was beyond everyone’s expectations. Our wives were so pleased with his attentiveness, help, guidance and friendliness. He made the entire experience very comfortable. Please extend our sincere appreciation to Ger from everyone of us.
Your organization from our first contact until we returned home to the US was great! Everything was organized, well documented and most importantly, well planned. From the communications prior to the trip to a couple of changes we made during, the trip was very positive. The hotels were memorable. As an example, the Bushmills Inn and the Slieve Donard were just great places to stay. The arrangement for my wife and me to stay at the Mount Juliet Estates near Kilkenny after the golf was truly special and we will return here. During the course of our trip, each of our friends commented on the quality of the experiences, your professionalism and the seamless way all the experiences blended together.
Marc, this is the fourth trip you have arranged for some of us (two in Scotland and now two in Ireland). Every one of these trips has been memorable and professionally planned. Your work is outstanding and we look forward to our next Irish and/or Scottish golf experience!

Well we are at the airport at the end of our wonderful time in your beautiful country. Bushmills Inn was superb, the loft room terrific and meals first class as well as the singer guitarist after dinner. What a great part of the world, the little town gorgeous and Giants Causeway incredible. All three courses were interesting and we met some great caddies. Our favourite was of course Royal Portrush.
The K Club is a different feel but still very special. The Palmer Course is a first class layout and we are glad we played it twice. The Island Course is interesting with its blind shots. We had the most special caddy, Paul McBride who had just heard that morning that he had made the Irish team, what a wonderful young man.
Thanks for your great organisation everything went superbly.

Marc, the trip was absolutely awesome! And that includes playing in the “Irish Rain”. As my youngest son Drew said, it wouldn’t have been Irish golf if we didn’t play in the rain at least once. Ger was outstanding as well and I hope he didn’t think we consumed too much of the great Irish beer!
I will without a doubt recommend you and your company to anyone traveling to Ireland. I think I can speak for the entire group and say that your input and organization of this trip was definitely the way for us to go. Lots of golf, lots of pubs, lots of beer for sure, and lots of laughs. Thanks for everything!!

Our trip was absolutely amazing. Everything was perfectly planned. I think the old guys were pretty tired by the end but I told them they could sleep on the plane. We loved all of the towns equally. We had great food in Kinsale, great pubs in Killarney, met the mayor in Ballybunion and had a five star meal at the Vaughan lodge in Lahinch. We loved every golf course except for maybe the greens at Doonbeg. Old Head was easily the most scenic but I think we enjoyed the challenge of Waterville and Ballybunion the best. Our weather was good everyday except for the first and last. We battled 35 mph winds and rain the last 12 holes at Old Head and faced 40 mph winds at Lahinch.
We really appreciate all your help in planning. The accommodations were spectacular across the board. The people were so friendly and the food surpassed our expectations. Kilcoolys in Ballybunion was probably our favorite as they were the most authentic and nicest people. We will certainly let everyone back home know about our great trip and recommend Dunbar Golf Tours wherever we go.

Thanks for all of your work with our tour. I was very pleased and thought that you did an extraordinary job of organization. You even arranged great weather at the Old Course. Thanks again.

Marc, I too had the trip of a lifetime! Cullen was an absolute hoot and we had a blast with him. Everything went off without a single hitch, and we met great friendly people everywhere we went. Thanks again for arranging such a memorable trip! It was the dog’s bollocks!

We made it home safe and sound and while the weather didn’t cooperate like our last visit we still had a wonderful time. Enjoyed some great golf, food, lots of Guinness and, thanks to you, excellent accommodations. One of the really cool things about these trips is the friends you make. We played two rounds with a couple from North Carolina who I’m sure we will see again. All in all Marc it was a super 10 days. Thank you!

Just a short note to say thanks for all the organization for our trip. Everything was very well done. I think the timing of the tee times was perfect and we had a nice cadence to our trip. Being greeted by Nan was nice and lowered the hassle of car rentals. The hotel service levels were excellent and the golf experience was perfect.
It was much appreciated by people who have a great respect for the game of golf and we also got very lucky on the weather. In the next few years; we’ll need to do an Ireland run!

Just a final note to thank you once again for an excellent golf experience in Ireland. With the weather we experienced we certainly had the full Irish! All other aspects of the trip were first class and very enjoyable. I now know why when I asked for a few good pubs everyone indicated that they were all good, which they were. I had only one negative comment and that was about the hotel in Kinsale. Agreed it was the least nice hotel but most of us thought it was fine.
I’m sure you hear this a lot but Ger made the trip even that much more enjoyable and if I ever have the opportunity I would ask for him or someone just as friendly and attentive. What a great country and I can only hope I can visit again! One of the guys who might call asked me what was the worst part of the trip and without hesitation I said, “Leaving Ireland”.

Sorry to be so long in getting back to you. Arrived home on Sunday night having had a most wonderful two weeks. Much of that goes credit to you and Colm. Diane and I agreed that the Ireland journey had to be one of the best holidays we’ve taken. Colm’s attention to every detail made our trip flow like clockwork.
Very best to you and family Marc,

Just arrived into Austria for stage 2 of our holiday. The golf tour was great and thanks for the excellent organisation by Dunbar Golf Tours. All golf and accommodation was first class. The only down side was the masses of people at the Ryder cup. Not used to crowds of this size in NZ. We watched the Saturday matches from bars in Edinburgh. The atmosphere on Sunday was amazing and a great victory for Europe. Thanks for everything.

We got home last night. Thanks again for all of your help. Everything went well on the trip (except for my back). It was hit and miss. Unfortunately, it was particularly bad at RCD and County Louth. It was quite disappointing but it could have been worse. C’est la vie! No problems with the car and the driving. We both got the hang of it pretty quickly. All the hotels were nice. We particularly liked the Slieve Donard which was fantastic! The people and pubs were wonderful and we enjoyed our post golf time in the various towns.
We were blessed with great weather the whole week which was great. No need for all the warm clothing and rain gear which was just fine. In hindsight, I would not go to Ballyliffin again as it was a very long driveto get there and I thought the courses were solid but not anything spectacular. We played the back nine on each course to get a flavor of the two at the suggestion of the Pro. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful trip. I will definitely let you know if I have the opportunity to go back to either Ireland or Scotland. I have two different sets of friends who want to do a trip next year and I will send them your way (regardless of whether I go or not).
I appreciate all of your help and the personal meeting in Dublin. I look forward to doing it again in the not too distant future. I will definitely make sure my back is healthy before I come over again though. Thanks very much and I’ll be in touch. Take care,
